The Dive Centre is managed by Jan Boye backed by several qualified local dive guides with sunny personalities. While the Dive Centre is located in the main building at the start of the jetty, the wet / dry storage areas are conveniently located at the pier at the end of the jetty, where dive briefings are held and the dive boats are docked.
Rental gear is available in the Dive Centre as well as a library of marine reference guides. For maximum convenience, divers' personal diving gear is stored at the end of the jetty for the duration of the trip, and photographers are welcome to use the airconditioned camera room for storage and set-up of their imaging gear.

The use of Nitrox (Enriched Air) is encouraged, and offered free of charge. An Enriched Air certification is required. In order to become Nitrox (Enriched Air) certified, simplyask about completing the course.
Nitrox is air that has been enriched with Oxygen, in order to lower Nitrogen levels.
Advantages of diving with Nitrox: - longer bottom times particularly for depths of between 20-30m / 65-100 ft - shorter surface intervals - longer bottom times for repetitive diving - reduced Nitrogen levels in the body - reduced risk of decompression sickness Please be aware that there is no Hyperbaric Chamber in West Papua (Raja Ampat).
What you learn in the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course: - Techniques for increasing dive time by using Enriched Air Nitrox - Enriched Air scuba diving equipment considerations - Enriched Air considerations, including managing oxygen pressure - How to tell what is in your scuba tank. - How to set your dive computer.
