Ockie was born in Serui, one of the small islands here in Papua. She and her family got to travel a lot because her parents moved several times from one city to another. She went to school in Bali, Jayapura, and Kalimantan before they finally settled down in Jakarta. Growing up, she realized that she’s addicted to traveling and secretly wish that one day she can travel around the world.
After her education in administration and public relations in Jakarta, she started working as a Junior Secretary. She gained more experience in an oil construction company with various positions. When she worked as a Café Manager in Bali, she knows already that one of her passions is to work in the service and hospitality field, which she tries to fulfill now. Ockie is a big asset to our team. She brings experience in administration, and she is also familiar with the travel industry from her last job in a travel agency in Bali.
Ockie likes to work in different parts of Indonesia. When she applied for the job at Raja4Divers, she was excited to come back to Papua. As the assistant of the Resort Operational Manager at Raja4Divers, she assists in day-to-day operational tasks from housekeeping to logistic. Her leadership and organizational skills let her doing a great job.
In her spare time, she loves to do either indoor and outdoor activities such as doing yoga, photography, snorkeling, trekking, or just relaxing in her hammock, reading books and listening to music. She did a try dive on the house reef of Pef, and she is planning to do her open water dive course soon.
Ockie speaks Bahasa Indonesia, English and already some Swiss-German!
