Pulau Pef is a private owned island and anchoring is permitted at defined places only. Right now there are two buoys to use in a beautiful and very protected bay in the east of the island. In case this buoys are already occupied, the ground of the bay is suitable for anchoring. The sandy and muddy bottoms maximum depth is around 25 m. In the anchoring area are no obstacles to take care of. Wind is usually blowing from the West. In the months of June to September it regularly turns to blow from the south. Either way it comes, the bay gives you a good wind protection. Sometimes you might get a soft brise while outside of the bay the storm is blowing. Waves are inexistent in the bay.
If you want to anchor in this area for free, there is another big bay in the south-east of Pulau Pef. It's also protected and suitable for yachts.
